  • Alicia Thomas LinkedIn Profile

Alicia Thomas is senior vice president and partner at Sease Gerig, a relationship-driven public relations and strategic communications firm. She joined the firm in 2014 and works alongside public- and private-sector leaders to strengthen stakeholder relationships, protect reputations and move important initiatives forward.

She helps clients think through government relations and public affairs strategy when their work intersects with local and state leadership. Alicia has led the planning and execution of large-scale community events that go beyond attendance and awareness. She helped create and grow a statewide, university-led initiative designed to introduce middle school girls to Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math careers, with the goal of helping close the gender gap and strengthen the future workforce pipeline. That foundation later shaped Carmel’s She L.E.A.D.S. conference, hosted by Mayor Sue Finkam, which brings together professional women and middle school girls for leadership development, mentorship and career exploration.

Alicia supports clients across sports, healthcare, education, nonprofits, financial institutions, technology and manufacturing, as well as both public and private sectors. She develops integrated communications strategies that combine trusted relationship-building with earned media, owned content and digital channels. Her work includes executive media training, crisis communication planning and strategic messaging during times of growth, transition and risk. She also leads website content strategy, video scripting and social media campaigns to ensure messaging is clear, consistent and aligned with business goals.

Before joining Sease Gerig, Alicia worked as a project manager for an interactive creative agency, overseeing digital projects ranging from multi-touch applications to content-managed websites.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Indianapolis and continues to mentor students through Top Dog Communication, the university’s student-run public relations firm.

Alicia serves on the 2026 NCAA Men’s Final Four Local Organizing Committee and is an alumna of the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana OPTIONS Class of 2023. Outside of work, she is active in her children’s school PTO, coaches youth sports and volunteers with Best Buddies in Indiana and the Cholangiocarcinoma Foundation, supporting initiatives focused on inclusion and community impact.
